What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit.

Which cookies this site uses

This site has no advertising and no social buttons tracking your browsing. Cookies are grouped into categories and, except for the necessary ones, they are only activated if you accept them in the cookie notice. The typefaces are served from our own server, so loading them does not pass your IP address to anyone.

Necessary
ams_consent (first-party). Stores your cookie choice. Lasts 12 months. Always active: without it the site cannot remember what you chose.
Functional
_GRECAPTCHA (Google reCAPTCHA, by Google Ireland Limited). Only on the contact page, when you use the form: it checks that the enquiry comes from a person and not a spam program. If you do not accept them, the form will ask you to enable them before sending, or you can call us.
Statistics
_ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics 4, by Google Ireland Limited). They measure visits and the pages read, in aggregate. They last up to 2 years.

How you give or withdraw consent

The first time you visit we show a notice where you can accept all cookies, reject them or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.

We keep your choice for 12 months; after that we ask you again. You can change it at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. We use Google Consent Mode: its services do not store cookies from categories you have not accepted.

More detail on how Google handles this data in our privacy policy.

Managing them in your browser

In any case you can review and delete stored cookies from the privacy settings of your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge).
